Can my teammates see my bookmarks?
No. Bookmarks are private to the user who created them. No other team member — including project administrators and Jira site administrators — can view your bookmarks.
Does bookmarking an issue notify anyone?
No. Bookmarking is entirely private. The issue’s assignee, reporter, and existing watchers receive no notification when you bookmark an issue.
How many bookmarks can I create?
There is no limit on the total number of bookmarks you can create.
How many tags can I add per bookmark?
You can add up to 10 tags per bookmark. Each individual tag can be up to 50 characters long.
How long can a note be?
Notes can be up to 1,000 characters long. URLs in notes are automatically converted to clickable links when you view the bookmark.
Where is my data stored?
Your bookmarks are stored in Atlassian Forge’s secure key-value storage, which is hosted on Atlassian’s own cloud infrastructure. Data never leaves Atlassian Cloud, and no external third-party services are involved.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
Your bookmark data is removed when the app is uninstalled from your Jira site. Export your bookmarks before uninstalling if you want to keep a copy. See Import and Export for instructions.
Can I export my bookmarks?
Yes. From the Bookmarks dashboard, click the Export dropdown to export your bookmarks as Markdown (copied to clipboard), CSV (downloaded as a file), or JSON (downloaded as a file). You can export all bookmarks, your current filtered view, or only selected bookmarks. See Import and Export for full details.
What file formats are supported for import?
Simple Bookmarks supports importing JSON and CSV files that were previously exported from the app. See Import and Export for step-by-step import instructions.
